Keenan received his J.D. from The University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law in 1998.  While he has spent most of his career in private practice, he previously served as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Western District of Tennessee as well as the office’s Deputy Civil Chief for three of his six years with the Department of Justice.  His DOJ experience included successfully prosecuting violent and white-collar crimes and defending the United States in employment, wrongful death, medical malpractice, negligent hiring, construction, and contract cases. 
 

Keenan is currently a member of Butler Snow’s Commercial Litigation Practice Group.  In addition to defending clients embroiled in complex business disputes, he also conducts independent investigations for clients and counsels them on how to avoid becoming the victim of employee fraud.  Keenan is an experienced litigator and trial attorney.  He has represented clients in jurisdictions throughout the country and has tried over 20 jury trials to verdict.
